Membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® on the graduate level is by invitation only and may not be solicited. Graduate chapters host public events, such as forums, cultural presentations, and social activities, so that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities they offer to local communities. Chapter meetings are held every second Saturday at Tidewater Community College and virtually as mandated. In accordance with the National Standard Operating Guidelines and/or Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to provide two forms of identification for meeting entry. Primary identification may include any government issued ID. Secondary identification may include, but are not limited to:
A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)
A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office
A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name
An invitation from an attending chapter member
Business attire is required for chapter meetings.
